Students at 4410 Special Ed Preschools and 853 Schools are kids who are placed in these specialized schools because the public school districts don’t have appropriate services to support them.
This year, the State Education Department requested 7% increases for our schools but the NYS Division of Budget approved only 4%!
How can children served in 4410 and 853 schools deserve less than their public school peers? A bill unanimously passed both the Assembly and Senate mandating that our schools receive the same increases that public school districts receive.
